Mystery on the Vineyard

Picture
The story of the Rice Playhouse still resonates more than seventy years after the brutal murder of Clara Smith.
It can't happen here.

Did someone get away with murder?

It was murder.

It happened on this remote island of Martha's Vineyard in the summer of 1940.  This book, Mystery on the Vineyard, recounts the murder, and the search to track down and name the culprit.

This a true story, from beginning to end.  A real-life murder mystery.

Whether it was inept police work or the distraction of the Battle of Britain at the onset of World War II, a woman was brutally murdered and the person who committed the crime was never charged.

You think it can't happen here?

But it did.

Mystery on the Vineyard was first published by The History Press in 2008.  The book generates continued interest, years after publication.
